Back by popular demand, Kitten to Cat is hosting another evening of talks by Francesca Riccomini - renowned feline behaviourist, veterinary surgeon and author of the book “Know Your Cat”.
In November’s lecture Francesca focused on the origins of the domestic cat, communication, different life stages and evolutionary survival strategies that underlie many common problems such as stress and marking. This time around she'll focus more on what we humans perceive as behavioural problems but which are in most cases natural and predictable responses to the environment we impose on our cats.
This lecture will be particularly interesting for people with multi-cat households and kittens. Date: 3 June 2009 Time: 7:00-9:30pm
Location: St Luke’s House opposite Kitten to Cat Veterinary Clinic Address:

About her books
Cats can seem mysterious to their owners. They sleep most of the day, are fiercely independent and yet can be playful and affectionate. With "Know Your Cat" you can finally unlock the mysteries of your pet's behaviour and truly get to know your feline friend. Learn how to read his expressions, tail flicks, purrs, hisses and meows. Understand why your cat grooms himself, rubs your leg, sprays and adores catnip. Solve his anti-social behaviour, such as clawing armchairs, running up curtains and drinking from the toilet. All of these secrets and more are revealed, along with features on the latest feline research and behavioural science.
You can buy “Know Your Cat” on Amazon.
Francesca is also co-author of “Essential Cattitude: an insight into the feline world”. This is available as a free download from the Feline Advisory Bureau.
